gut restoration
what is leaky gut syndrome?
Leaky gut, or increased intestinal permeability, occurs when the tight junctions of your intestinal walls loosen; these tight junctions are the gateway between your intestines and your bloodstream and they control what is allowed to pass into the bloodstream from your digestive system. When the tight junctions of your intestinal walls loosen, this may allow harmful substances, such as bacteria, toxins, and undigested food particles, to pass into your bloodstream. This can lead to increased Food Sensitivities.

how to heal your gut lining
True Balance Elimination diet is designed to clear the body of foods and chemicals you may be allergic or sensitive to. Removing these foods will allow your body detoxify and begin the recovery process to functions efficiently again.
Food Sensitivity testing identifies food reactions and other imbalances so they can be corrected before disease develops. The test report shows multiple food reactions to foods regularly eaten that may be an indication of leaky gut. Good health has a lot to do with maintaining balance; the right balance of nutrients in the diet and the right kinds of foods.
Avoid any known irritants, allergens, caffeine, Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS), alcohol etc.

HCl and leaky gut
A diet heavy in processed foods and low in live enzyme-rich foods has caused many of us to lose the ability to properly digest our food and develop hypochlorhydria: low stomach acid production. Many of us have a need to temporarily supplement stomach acid. HCl, or hydrochloric acid, is produced by our bodies to break down food and kill ingested pathogens.
Here is a simple test that you can do at home to find your individual dose of HCl.
Begin with a high-quality HCl product.
Prepare a hearty meal that includes a good amount of protein and fats. A general rule of thumb is 30% protein, 30% fats, and 40% carbs.
It is recommended you eat a meal that makes you feel satisfied. Do not include foods you are sensitive to, this inhibits digestion.
After a few bites, take your first dose of HCl, usually one pill or capsule.
Take 2-3 more bites – eating slowly and chewing thoroughly – take a second pill or capsule.
Continue the same pattern – 2-3 bites then another pill – until you feel a slight warming sensation in your stomach. Similar to the feeling of after quickly drinking a hot cup of coffee or a shot of liquor. Don’t forget to count how many pills you take! Once you have found your threshold, your typical dose will be one pill less than the maximum. So, if you took 6 to get the warming sensation, you will take 5 with meals.
Finish your meal without taking any more HCl.
This is your maintenance dose. You should notice significant improvement in digestion: less gas and bloating, better absorption, more regular and better-formed stools.
After time, when you feel this sensation on the maintenance dose, reduce the dosage by one pill and stay at that dosage. If you start feel a warming sensation at that dose, reduce again. Over time you may find that you can continue to reduce the dosage, or you may also find that you may need to increase the dosage.
After 90 days on your maintenance dose, try to gradually reduce the dose to zero. For some people, this will be possible. Others may need to take HCL indefinitely (this is especially true if you have a history of PPI or other acid- suppressing drug use).
